This collection contains materials related to William Stevens' research concerning the 1948 Joint Committee on Un-American Activities of the Washington State Legislature. The collection includes a photocopy of a hearing transcript from 1955 investigating the disappearance of the Joint Committee's records, an oral history interview with Melvin Rader (a University of Washington professor falsely accused during the 1948 investigation), and a copy of William Stevens' research paper on the subject.
