Historical NoteReturn to Top

The OHSU Pharmacy Department is Oregon's only Academic Medical Center and provides services for both inpatients and outpatients. Both OHSU and the OSU College of Pharmacy have been connected with shared faculty. The OHSU Pharmacy Department has been affiliated with programs such as Blood-Brain Barrier and AFSCME Labor/Management Cooperation, and contributed to publications like Postscripts. "Doing Comparable Worth: Gender, Class and Pay Equity" was written by Joan Acker and published in 1989. Using feminist theory, Acker detailed a study conducted by the state of Oregon on comparable pay between men and women with the evaluation of 35,000 jobs. Sources for the project included OHSU and the Oregon Nurses Association.
