Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Attorney and civic leader, Seattle.

Davis served on the board of Seattle Center Foundation 1977-1990, and in the late 1980s on the Seattle Center Management and Institutional Alternatives Commission. His group recommended that a Public Development Commission manage the Center, but the Seattle City Council in early 1988 voted to maintain the Center as a City department. Davis also served on the Council for Washington's Future (dates??), and the Commission for Constitutional Alternatives (for Washington State) 1975-1976. Ten years earlier he participated in discussions on the state constitution. As an attorney for, and later as a board member of, Northern Life Insurance Company, he was involved in two successive sales of the firm in the 1970s
