This tape is a discussion of Marina and David Makovoz's emigration from the Soviet Union in 1989 with their 2 young children, Misha and Yelena; their reasons for leaving the Soviet Union and the assistance they received from Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society. How they arrived in Seattle, via Italy, and the kindness they received from their sponsors, the Bikur Cholim-Machzikay Hadath Congregation. They also talk about the tremendous changes in their lives and their adjustment to those changes.
