Biographical NoteReturn to Top

George Zygmunt Romeyko was born on November 27, 1923 in Warsaw, Poland. He served as a soldier in the Polish Army before coming to San Francisco, California in 1942. In 1943, Romeyko moved to Oregon, and later Seattle, Washington. Around August 1944, he robbed two grocery stores in Seattle, totaling more than $2,150. Romeyko admitted to the robberies and was sentenced to the Washington State Penitentiary in Walla Walla, Washington on January 6, 1945. In the 1950s, Romeyko went to Australia. He died there on February 25, 2000.

The manuscript is in a black faux-leather binder, in poor condition.

Donor: Camden Hall. Unknown origin and unknown author. Stored in law firm library of Camden Hall. Was going to be thrown out in 1969 when it came into Camden Hall's possession.
