Historical NoteReturn to Top

The Anderson Mansion was built in 1904 on Boyer Street in Walla Walla, Washington. Originally at that location was the Old Boyer house, built in 1880 for John Franklin Boyer. In 1903 the Old Boyer house was moved to the corner of Otis and Cypress, and is now Whitman College's German house. The new home was built for Mabel Ida Baker Anderson and Louis F. Anderson, who married on October 30, 1890. The architect, Kirtland Cutter, also designed the Rainier Club in Seattle and the Davenport Hotel in Spokane, as well as many homes throughout the West.
