Content DescriptionReturn to Top

This collection contains a 1942 typed draft of a memoir by Frank Terrace, regarding his life and career. Terrace was a founding member of the Washington State Good Roads Association, and (along with Sam Hill), a leading figure in efforts to develop and improve a system of roads in the United States. The collection contains a small number of additional items regarding Frank Terrace and his work: these are newspaper clippings, a 1944 letter written by U.S. Senator Rufus C. Holman (R-Oregon) on learning of Terrace's death, and a 1944 radio script by Billie Barnes about Frank Terrace and the Northwest highways (presented by Northwest Theatre and hosted by Puget Sound Power and Light Company).
