Historical NoteReturn to Top

One of the parties represented in this collection is the Valley Drugstore in Stevensville, Montana. As of 1905, Jackson D. Miser owned the Stevensville Drug Company. By 1909, Jackson D. Miser was the manager of the Valley Drug Company. By 1913, the Valley Drug Company was owned by Percy and Albert Ridley, and Jackson D. Miser. By 1915, Stevensville had two drug stores: the Valley Drug Company and the Stevensville Drug Company. J.D. Miser opened Miser’s Wonder Store sometime after and the Valley Drug Company fell under separate ownership.
