Historical NoteReturn to Top
The Center was established in 1980 by feminist scholars at the University of Washington. It was initially supported by a Ford Foundation grant for the promotion, dissemination, and support of feminist research by and about women. Through conferences, publications, support of research and a visiting scholars program the Center has focused on bringing women into areas from which they have traditionally been excluded.
