Historical NoteReturn to Top
Wellspring Family Services was founded in 1892 as an agency to coordinate charitable organizations in Seattle. In 1962 the agency changed its name to Family Counseling Service; in 1974 the name was changed to Family and Child Services of Metropolitan Seattle; and in 1980 to Family Services of King County. In 2005 Family Services acquired the Wellspring Employee Assistance Program. Services include mental health counseling, help with housing and homelessness, domestic violence intervention, education, parenting support, and employee assistance.
