Cameron La Follette is a poet and environmental activist, dedicated to preserving the Oregon coastline. She has previously worked as the director of the Coastal Futures Project for 1000 Friends of Oregon, then as the Land Use Director for the Oregon Shores Conservation Coalition, and following that, as the Land Use Director for the Oregon Coast Alliance. The papers contain La Follette's original poetry and environmental papers.

Cameron La Follette received her Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Oregon in 1984 and later received a J.D. in Law from Columbia University and a M.S. in Psychology from New York University. La Follette's most notable accomplishments include her environmental activism in the state of Oregon, as well as her dedication to preserving the Oregon coastline. In addition to her preservation efforts, La Follette is a poet. She runs a Classic Poetry Group and is a volunteer poetry editor for the University of Toronto.

La Follette has previously worked as the director of the Coastal Futures Project for 1000 Friends of Oregon, and as the Land Use Director for the Oregon Shores Conservation Coalition. La Follette currently resides in Salem, Oregon where she works as the Land Use Director for the Oregon Coast Alliance.
