The collection contains correspondence received and sent by Siletz Indian agents, including J.H. Fairchild, William Bagley, and Edmund A. Swan. Topics include tribal member and settler relations, child custody disputes, and regulation of liquor trafficking. A portion of the correspondence pertains to the Alsea Sub-Agency and Grand Ronde Agency. Transcripts accompanying the photocopies were created by Robert Kentta.
