Horticulturist

Herbert Ihrig was born in 1885. He was a member of The Arboretum Foundation, University of Washington Arboretum Board, Seattle Rhododendron Society, Tacoma Rhododenderon Society, Bainbridge Rhododendron Society, and editor and founder of the "Arboretum Bulletin." He died in 1973.

Correspondence, minutes, clippings, articles, reports, photographs and other papers from his activities as a member of the Arboretum Foundation, the University of Washington's Arboretum Board, various rhododendron societies, and editor and founder of the "Arboretum Bulletin".

His papers are in notebooks and some were indexed by Mr. Ihrig. They concern horticultural subjects, and especially rhododendrons and the Rhododendron Collection in the Arboretum.
