Agnes Bellinger (1927-2006) was a dancer and cultural specialist from the Tlingit people of the Pacific Northwest coast. Throughout her life, she was dedicated to sharing the knowledge and culture of her community. In 1969, she started a dance group called the Eagle Raven Dancers, which inspired other communities to create their own dance groups. She earned a BA from the University of Washington in Anthropology and was awarded the handicap of the year award for her proficiency in typing and administrative skills while being legally blind. Later in her life, she worked with the Juneau School District, the Alaska State Museum, and Goldbelt Tourism as a cultural specialist sharing the Tlingit way of life.
