Reminiscences of Hancock describing his overland journey from Independence, Missouri, to Oregon Territory in 1845, his dealings with Northwest Indians, his observation of their customs, his participation in the California gold rush, and his observations of the West. Appendix contains a dictionary of the Chinook language.
