Katherine Lee is an Associate Professor of Ethnomusicology at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music. She earned her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and Musicology from the University of Michigan, her Master of Arts in Ethnomusicology from the University of Washington, and her PhD in Ethnomusicology from Harvard University. Her areas of interest include music at scenes of protest during South Korea's democratization movement and different forms of "sonic evidence".

Ter Ellingson is Professor of Music and Adjunct Professor of Comparative Religion and South Asian Studies. He holds an M.A., Religion, from the University of Chicago and a Ph.D., Anthropology/Buddhist Studies, from the University of Wisconsin. Ellingson's areas of specialization include Tibet, Nepal, Buddhist Cultures; Ritual, Symbolism, History, Notation/Transcription, Visual Media.
