Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Victoria Capeluto grew up in Rhodes and attended an Alliance school. Her father was in the import business. At the age of 19, in 1913, she came to the U.S. to be married to her fiance.

Tape recorded interview conducted by Fannie Roberts and K. Winn.

Israel describes her immigration in detail. She lived at 14th and East Fir after her marriage and she mentions several of the Jewish businesses in that area.
