Historical NoteReturn to Top
The Spencer Hall boarding school, an Episcopal school for girls, was established in the same building as the Veranda Hotel in 1861. The building was at the north east corner of Jefferson Street and McLoughlin Boulevard, in Milwaukie, Oregon. In 1866, the school was relocated to Portland. The building itself was later demolished.
