Photographs taken by Edwin M. Randall on his trip to the Klondike Gold Fields and Alaska with Thomas S. Lippy in the summer of 1899. Photographs document his trip from Skagway to White Pass City via the White Pass and Yukon Railroad, further on to Log Cabin, by lumber wagon Bennett City, by steamers Australian, Gleaner, Clifford Sifton, Canadian to Dawson via Lake Lindeman, Caribou Crossing, Miles Canyon, Whitehorse City, Thirty Mile River, Five Finger Rapids, Stewart City. Also included are images of Dawson mining activities, Bonanza, Gold Hill, Eldorado, French Hill and pictures from the continuation of the trip through Circle City, Fort Yukon, Rampart City, St. Michael, Unimak Pass. Additional glass negatives consist of images made by Randall from 1898 in Seattle and the Northwest including: Queen Anne, Fremont, Magnolia, downtown Seattle; First Methodist Episcopal Church and Parsonage on Union Street; Seattle General Hospital and staff; Siwash Indians; scenes of Harper, Washington, Orcas Island, Whatcom Falls, Columbia River; bicycle riding; unidentified beaches with sunbathers; women's basketball games; Randall's children with toys; unidentified harbors, boats, etc. Miscellaneous plates nos. 2002-2050 are unidentified, possibly from California.
