University of Washington alumnus. Winfield Richard Eberle graduated from the University of Washington in 1912 with a B.A. in Liberal Arts. He was a Glee Club Stunt Man, and a member of the County Fair Vaudeville, Oval Club Minstrels, Junior Play Committee, Senior Pin Committee, and the Delta Tau Delta fraternity.

Scope and Content: This collection of personal memorabilia contains a performance poster (2) for "University of Washington Glee Club Concert," "Director Bowman Ralston and Varsity Glee Club" with "'The Dutch Twins'--Armstrong and Eberle" and "'Brown & Black Specialty'--Fullen and Kellogg"; "All America Vaudeville" flyer for College Men's Night, Friday, November 3, 8 pm, featuring (among others) "'German Sketches' by 'Dutch' Wynn Eberle '12"; mounted photo of men and women standing on shore by a boat, surrounded by cutouts of individual men's heads--at top, "Mr. R. Eberle," at bottom, handwritten, "Oh You Launch Party"; etching (approximately 3 ½" x 17") of 9 baby faces with badges and hand-drawn additions, Seattle Engraving Company, artist Meckle or Mecklem.

Scope and Content: "College Daze" scrapbook of Winfield Eberle, a 1912 graduate of the University of Washington. Includes photographs, news clippings, programs, ticket stubs, and other ephemera. Major subjects include Eberle's Vaudevillian activities as one of the "Dutch Twins" (with partner Robert Armstrong, later one of the stars of the movie King Kong); the UW chapter of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity; the UW Glee Club; the UW rowing team; the UW campus and student life; UW coeds; the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition; and Eberle's family and home.
