Archives West Finding Aid

Series I is comprised of scrapbooks organized by date. The scrapbooks are primarily composed of photographs of members and events, newspaper clippings, and pamphlets on the Fortnightly Club.

Series II, Meeting Records, is primarily composed of general and board meeting minutes, and also contains budget and attendance records, record books, and materials relating to special events organized by the Club.

Series III is composed primarily of yearbooks and pamphlets on The Fortnightly Club, including their by-laws and constitution, customs and traditions, and history. This series is arranged by date.

Series IV, Financial Records, has a wide variety of material including ledgers, budgets, bank statements, and Treasurer and Budget Committee reports. This series is organized by subject file.

Series V, Membership, is composed of three subseries: Member records, Member papers, and Memorial tribute texts. Member papers are organized intellectually by year. Memorial tribute texts are written by members, and are organized intellectually by date. This series also contains card files on memberships and a history of member activities.

Series VI, Board and Committee Records, is comprised of four subseries: Officers' annual reports; Committee reports (includes a subsubseries on Memorial books purchased for the Eugene Public Library); Sub-Committee and Task Force records (includes a subsubseries on Oral Histories conducted by the Club, and one for Task Force/Special Projects reports); and Correspondence. Files mostly pertain to library information including papers, memorial books, and information on donation of window to library.
