Antone "Tony" Van Vliet became a member of the Oregon State University faculty in 1955, the director of University Placement, and an associate professor. Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Antone "Tony" Van Vliet was born in San Francisco in 1930. He left there for Oregon in 1948, earning a master's degree in forestry from Oregon State University and a Ph.D. at Michigan State University. He became a member of the OSU faculty in 1955, the director of University Placement, and an associate professor. He represented District 35 in the Oregon House as a Republican in legislative sessions from 1975 to 1993.
