The Lake Union Dry Dock Company was started as a ship repair year in 1919. During WWII they began building boats for the U.S. Navy in partnership with Puget Sound Bridge & Dredging Co, in particular minesweeping vessels under the name Associated Shipbuilders.

Photographs of shipbuilding activities at Associated Shipbuilders. Images include workers, laying keel, views of drydocks, workers operating sandblasters, aerial views. Most of the ships appear to be naval ships including the S.S. Rockaway.
