Mechanical Engineering is a department of the University of Washington College of Engineering. The curriculum focuses on the study of dynamics, controls, and robotics; manufacturing processes and advanced materials; energy and environmentally-friendly, "green" engineering; and engineering for health with biotechnologies and biomechanics. Degrees offered include Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Master of Science in Engineering, and Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering.
The University of Washington Mechanical Engineering Department offiered the Motor Vehicle Fleet Supervisors course "for 33 years" under sponsorship of the University of Pennsylvania. The course was terminated after 1973.
