Historical NoteReturn to Top

Cyrus Olney (1815-1870) was a noted politician and lawyer who came to Oregon from his native Ohio. Olney served as the 6th Associate Justice of the Oregon Supreme Court in the Oregon Territory. Olney was a member of the 1857 Oregon Constitutional Convention and served in the Oregon legislature. Absalom B. Hallock (1826-1892) was one of Portland's earliest contractors.
