The collection consists of color and black and white snapshots of the Mount St. Helens eruption in 1980. They include images of the actual eruption and aftermath. The photographs are partially organized in Box 3 under the following headings: Ahah Cave; Ape Cave; Accidents; Animals; Birds; Casts (boulders, burned trees, burn checks, lava checks, trees); Caves; C.B. Flows; Cliffs; Dryer Creek Flash Flood; Flowers; Flow features; Glaciers; Grottos; Lava Flows. Negatives are 35mm and left as is.
