Content DescriptionReturn to Top
The papers in this small collection relate directly to Chatburn's projects. As Director of Educational Services, Dr. Chatburn administered educational programming on the campus including the funding for broadcast facility (Folders 6-8). Dr. Chatburn also served as the project leader which established Boise State's Center for Data Processing in 1967. The committee worked to set up a campus wide computer system and create courses in Data Processing (Folder 5). One of his first tasks as Dean of the Faculty was to assess the school's curriculum by surveying its graduates. With more than 75 percent response, the President and the Faculty could adjust the institution's courses to meet the needs of its students.
The second part of the collection consists of papers and correspondence related to Dr. Chatburn's community service. Chatburn served on boards for health organizations and recreation programs in Ada County.
