Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Samaul B. Asia came to the United States from Russia in 1895. He was a dry goods and clothing merchant in Tacoma and later in Seattle. He was active in the Jewish communtiy and in Seattle civic efforts. For further information see the autobiographical account of the Asia family, "No Time for Tears," written by his sister Mary Asia Hilf and published by Yoseloff in New York, 1964.
