Contains home movie footage of a Washington State Patrol picnic at Playland in Seattle, with Washington State Patrol cars, local area school buses and amusement park rides.

The film was probably made by a member of the Washington State Patrol.
President Harry Truman visited Washington Governor Monrad "Mon" C. Wallgren on June 19-25 of 1945 in Olympia, Washington. During his visit, Truman stayed at the Governor’s mansion, awarded Sgt. John D. Hawk the Congressional Medal of Honor, relaxed with Wallgren (who was a close friend of Truman) and toured the Pacific Northwest region. His flight to Olympia from Washington, D.C. was the first flight made by a U.S. President within the United States.
