Fred Edward Fiedler was born in Austria to Victor and Helga Schallinger. Professor of Psychology, Director of the Organizational Research Group, and adjunct Professor of Management and Organization (b. July 13th, 1922 - d. June 8, 2017). Fiedler was a leading researcher in industrial and organization psychology. He also helped shape psychology and was considered a leading psychologist.
