Biographical NoteReturn to Top

John Killin (of Pennsylvania, born 1793) and Frances Ulan (of Ohio, born 1815) married in 1834. They came to Oregon in 1845 with a son, Benton (1842-1905). Benton served in the United States Army from 1862 to 1865. Later, he was a lawyer in the Logan and Shattuck Firm. He was a trustee of Pacific University in Forest Grove and the president of the Oregon Pioneers.
