Mr. Woodside describes the rise of commercial galleries and the art scene in Seattle. The interview deals with Mr. Woodside's beginning as an art dealer in 1961 and the art climate regionally and internationally since that time. He discusses regional art, the study of art in the academic atmosphere, artistic techniques, his philosophy as a dealer, museums, art politics, art fairs, art criticism, public art, women artists, art as investment, and the establishment.
