Curtis R. Holcomb is listed in the Alumni Directory of Alumni Members and Classes 1887-1951 as having graduated from the Medical Department of the Willamette University in the class of 1887. The Medical Register of Oregon, issued by the State Medical Board 1898, lists Dr. Holcomb as having been licensed on April 7, 1889. He had two physician sons, Blair, born in 1895 and Roger, born in 1897. He was in general practice in Portland, Oregon for 40 years. Dr. Holcomb was also a typesetter/printer and published an amateur journal. Dr. Holcomb died prior to 1951. Information used for the preparation of this finding aid was found in the Sections from the Willamette University Medical Department Catalogs and the University of Oregon Catalog 1887 housed in the Pacific Northwest Archives and the Biographical files of Blair and Roger Holcomb, all housed in the Oregon Health and Science University Historical Collections and Archives. No other biographical details are known at the time of processing.
