Floyd H. Watson, a member of the Northwest Yearly Meeting of Friends Church, was a resident of the Sprague River, Oregon, community in his youth. He has documented the assimilation of Modoc Indians and their association with the Quakers of the Sprague River Friends Church since 1884.

The materials in this brief collection include a written personal history of Floyd Watson's involvement in the Sprague River Friends Church and the surrounding community near Klamath Falls, Oregon. In his personal documentation, titled "My Sprague River Story," he refers to his high school days and to activities within the church, including a discussion of the history and inclusion of the Modoc Indian population within the church and the Klamath Falls, Oregon, community. Minutes from the Sprague River Friends Church, copies of articles from local newspapers, an excerpt from "The Modoc Indians: a Native American Saga" by Cheewa James, some privately written documentation and xerox copies of photographs of the area are also included.
