Content DescriptionReturn to Top

Field note transcriptions and corresponding sound cassettes on Halkomelem (Salish) verb roots from Kaoru Kiyosawa's field project, "Halkomelem Relational Applicatives." The field workers for this project were Kiyosawa and Donna Gerdts, and the speaker for the interviews, which were conducted between March 12 and May 7, 2003, was Ruby Peter of the Quamichan Reserve in Duncan, British Columbia. The purpose of the research was to determine which Halkomelem verb roots can and cannot form relational applicatives, and then to classify those verb roots by the type of relational applicatives they take.
