Historical NoteReturn to Top

Founded in 1978 as the Jewish Liberation Alliance, Kadima (meaning “forward” in Hebrew) is a Seattle-based Jewish organization dedicated to educating Jews and non-Jews about the history of Judaism and Israel and to promote peace in the Middle East between Palestinians and Israelis. It is affiliated with the national organization New Jewish Agenda, and changed its name to Kadima in 1979. Kadima protested Neo-Nazism in Skokie, Illinois and apartheid in South Africa, hosted religious gatherings, and offered study sessions for adults on Jewish history and affairs, culminating in the establishment of Kadima School in 1987.
